Posthorn Cottage, one of two adjoining properties occupying a secluded position in the heart of the town, offers an ideal base for exploring Ludlow and the surrounding area.

It is conveniently placed for all Ludlow's attractions, with shops, restaurants, cafes and places of interest such as the Castle, Market Square and St Laurence's Church all only a few minutes walk from the door.

We provide a free parking permit but, if you prefer to leave the car behind, bus routes and the train station are also within easy walking distance.

Accommodation
The cottage, which was renovated from a 17th century grade II listed building, provides comfortable accommodation on three floors.

On the ground floor a small entrance hall opens onto an oak-beamed staircase, with a dining/sitting room leading off to the right. This attractive room, which features a wood floor and open fireplace, overlooks the private patio area. It is furnished with dining table and chairs, easy chairs, radio/CD player and flat screen TV.

A well-equipped kitchen, which has recently been refurbished throughout, leads off the dining room. Appliances include a full size electric cooker with extractor fan, washing machine, fridge with small freezer section and microwave.

Leading off the the first floor landing are two bedrooms (one twin bedded and one double) and a bathroom which is fitted with both bath and shower.

Posthorn Cottage 2nd floor Sitting Room
On the second floor a small landing leads into a light airy sitting room which overlooks the rooftops towards Clee Hill in the distance. It is furnished with two comfortable modern sofas, occasional tables, DVD and flat screen TV.
The airing cupboard is also on the top floor; this is where the cushions for the patio chairs, spare bedding & blankets are kept.

Outside: The private patio area is at the back of the cottage and is furnished with table and chairs. We have recently introduced planters with a selction of fresh herbs which guests are welcome to use. Smoking is permitted outside; ashtrays are probided and can be found in the kitchen unit beneath the sink

Booking and Payment Details
As we accommodate both short and long term stays, we are flexible about arrival and departure days. We request that guests vacate the cottage by 10.00 am on the day of departure and arrival time is from 3.00 pm onwards.

We request a deposit of £50.00 on booking; this deposit is refundable on cancellation, if we are subsequently able to re-book the cottage.

Payment can be by cheque or by BACS transfer.

As we are located at the need of a covered pedestrian passageway, wew are unable to provide parking directly outside the cottage. Our parking season ticket permits parking at a public car park about five minute's walk away. It is possible to park on the street in order to load/unload luggage.

The passageway, which leads to the cottage, has a flat surface for most of its length, but is cobbled in the section directly outside the front door. For further access information, please refer to tha attached accessibility statement.

Directions
From A5/A49 junction at Shrewsbury, take the A49 South to Leominster. Exit at Ludlow. Continue up Corve Street and turn right at the traffic lights. Take the first turn left into Broad Street.
